Propecia vs Proscar
Q What is the difference between propecia and proscar? Propecia is very expensive and I would like to substitute it.
A Both Proscar and Propecia are Finisterade. We want you to have only 1 MG of the medication and Propecia comes in that form. We can prescribe Proscar if you wish. but it is 5 MG tabs you will need to break the tabs up into 5 equal parts. There are pill splitters that can readily divide pills into 2, and probably into 4 fairly regular parts without too much problem, but 5 parts will be a little tricker.
