Q: I had a glass of wine over the weekend prior to my surgery but have not had any other alcohol. Can I do the surgery?
A: Although it is always better to follow the preop directions closely one glass of wine will not prevent you from doing the surgery. The more you follow the directions the less bleeding will occur.
