Scalp rotation flaps
Type of procedure that involves the lifting and rotation of a strip of hairy scalp which is placed into an area of simultaneously removed balding skin.
This procedure is often performed when a scalp wound is being repaired. It is used where available "flap" tissue bearing donar follicles nearby is sufficient, and there is enough stretchiness of the skin in the rotation area to have good result, and allow any scar tissue to be hidden by hair.
