Keloid

Scar tissue that consists of collagen. It can occur after surgery or trauma. They are firm nodule like lesions that are usually pink in coloration. It is non cancerous and non-contagious but can result in itching or soreness. Proper care of surgical scars can help prevent keloids after surgical procedures such as a hair transplant. Your physician will direct you in the care and removal of the sutures in order to prevent keloids.
