Dihydrotestosterone

Dihydrotestosterone results from the metabolism of testosterone, and is created by the prostate gland, testes, hair follicles and adrenal glands. It helps to establish male characteristics such as amount of muscles, low-pitched voice and hair growth patterns. In excess it can cause hair loss and prostate cancer.
