CBC Blood Test

CBC w/ Diff Hgb, Hct, RBC, Plt CBC CBC stands for complete blood count, or full blood count, and is the shorthand for a blood test evaluating the cells in a blood sample. Hgb stands for hemoglobin, the red blood cells which carry iron. Hct is hematocrit - the proportion of plasma and formed elements, WBC are the white blood cells which are used to fight infection. Plt are platelets, which are responsible for blood clotting.
