TIBC Blood Test

TIBC Blood Test The TIBC blood test (total iron binding capacity) is a test that "measures the blood's capacity to bind iron with transferrin," and is used in the diagnosis of anemia, iron deficiency or iron deficiency anemia. If TIBC is high but there is not an iron deficiency, this is an indicator of pregnancy or hormone imbalance , which in turn, can contribute to hair loss.
