Central to Dr. Shapiro's unique AFR™ program is his Help Hair Shake. The results of using the AFR™ program was tested with about 100 patients who were reporting hair loss, some of whom had been using whey protein isolates and other products for weight loss or body building. Nearly all the subjects (94%) noticed some improvement in their hair's appearance after following the program for at least 4 weeks, with a score of 6 or higher in each category: healthy, shiny, less hair loss, less hair breakage, stronger, longer, grew faster, bouncier, fuller and thicker. The mean score for all categories ranged from 7.5 to 7.8, with a mean overall score of 7.7. Overall, 62% of participants noticed significant improvement, giving a score of 8 or higher. Three-quarters of the subjects had taken supplements containing whey protein isolate in the past for at least 4 weeks. Of these subjects, 95% noticed moderate or worse hair damage from taking whey protein isolates, including hair loss, breakage, dullness, weaker hair, less bounce, thinner and slower growth. Significant damage was reported by 30% of the subjects: hair loss (11%), breakage (12%), dullness (14%), slower growth (18%), less bounce (19%), weaker hair (20%), and thinner (22%). So, it is not too surprising that we discovered that the AFR™ program has tremendous benefit for those receiving hair transplant surgery, by by-passing or significantly reducing the dormancy period which 'normally' follows hair transplant surgery. Hair transplants are permanent
but will not stop the progression of normal hair loss.
Although we have had good results we cannot guarantee that your hair transplant will grow in the
accelerated time even with AFR.
